Job description:

  • Scientific services in research and teaching in the field of applied (graph) algorithms, in particular in one of the following application areas: algorithmic network analysis, combinatorial scientific computing, applied combinatorial optimization
  • Research on internationally competitive level
  • Teaching load of 4 semester hours per week, typically regarding algorithmic topics
  • Tasks for own scientific qualification (towards PhD degree)

 

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree (highest grade – very good in the German grade system) in Computer Science or a closely related field
  • Very good knowledge and experience in algorithm engineering (in particular in the design and analysis of algorithms and data structures as well as in their implementation)
  • Expertise in parallel programming is considered a bonus
  • Very good command of written and spoken German and English
  • High interest in scientific research and academic teaching
  • Highly self-motivated and high team spirit
