Job Description:

Software development in the EU-funded research project “European Digital Student Service Infrastructure L2” with the aim to develop a smartphone-based student ID that can be seamlessly used throughout the European Union.

As part of the project, an NFC interface is being developed at the Humboldt-Universität, which will create a standardised emulation for a large number of card types and which will make it possible to use the student ID across the EU, even across the borders of different systems. A special focus is the planning of the coupling of this interface to the existing infrastructure in several EU countries.

Other tasks include the support the expansion of existing systems, analysing problems and creating technical specifications.

 

Profile of Candidate Requirements:

  • Completed university education in computer science or business informatics or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Experience in software development projects with Java
  • Experience in developing mobile applications on Android and/or IoS, in particular with regard to the hardware of the end user device
  • Knowledge in building technical infrastructure, especially system integration
  • some knowledge of smartcards
  • fluency in English, both spoken and written and good command of German is required
  • Good communication skills and good problem-solving ability
