Job description:

  • Scientific research within the framework of a DFG-project in the research group 'Experimental Biophysics/Mechanobiology', esp. physical constraints to tune B cell activation and differentiation
  • initial discovery with the goal to find and introduce new mechanisms to activate B cells
  • contributing to the novel field of mechano­immunology in engineering B cells for their fight against diseases and for optimized antibody production
  • investigate how nanoporous substrates as physical constraints can be used to either activate B cells mechanically without the use of biochemical factors, or to learn how to further boost and fine-tune their cellular and genetic programme

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree and PhD in Immunology/Cell Biology or Biophysics
  • excellent English skills
  • familiar with scientific communication
  • high motivation
