We are looking for a highly motivated researcher for innovative research projects on human cell-based systems. The successful candidate will work on projects that integrate advanced experimental and computational approaches at the genome scale, including CRISPR, RNAi screening, mass spectrometry, proteomics, advanced cell imaging (including live cell imaging), drug screening, data analysis and modeling.
Job description:
- scientific services in research and teaching in the field of theoretical biophysics
- tasks for own scientific qualification (habilitation)
- design and execute complex cell culture experiments and projects with human cells
- studies and projects on the integration of MultiOmics data
- development and application of computer-aided models for data analysis and interpretation
- support in the development and implementation of AI strategies for automated workflows for the research group
- supervision of Bachelor, Master and PhD students
- support in the development and implementation of the research and funding strategy (e.g. grants and funding) for the research group
Requirements:
- completed scientific university degree and PhD in a relevant field, e.g. biophysics, cell biology, systems biology, bioengineering, drug discovery
- extensive experience with advanced cell culture techniques on a systems scale
- proven expertise in CRISPR and RNAi screening, mass spectrometry, proteomics, large-scale drug screening and advanced imaging
- strong computer skills for data analysis and modeling
- leadership and project management skills desired
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- experience in drug screening and drug discovery
- experience in writing, managing and executing grant proposals
- strong skills and proven track record in writing scientific publications
- good command of written and spoken English (at least C1)
