• studies on elephant brain with novel x-ray imaging techniques and standard histological techniques
• collaboration with our international partners, specifically with our partners in South Africa
• field work with elephants and handling of matters related to CITES regulations
• tasks for personal scientific qualification (doctorate)

• completed scientific university education (Master) in Neuroscience
• preferably a doctoral project in the research field of the professorship
• experience with international collaborations
• advanced knowledge in histology
• experience with x-ray imaging techniques
• advanced knowledge in the field of neurosciences
• very good written and spoken English (min. B2)
• fundamentals of knowledge transfer desired
