Job description:

  • scientific services in research within the framework of the DFG project on Glutamate receptor activation
  • Patch-clamp electrophysiology
  • Work with cell and tissue cultures
  • Fluorescence imaging
  • Independent planning
  • Carrying out and analysing experiments
  • Supervision of interns and students

 

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree in the life sciences or related biological disciplines
  • Doctorate in neurobiology or a related field
  • Demonstrable independent scientific activity
  • Proven experience in patch-clamp electrophysiology and receptor measurements
  • Knowledge and practical experience with advanced microscopy techniques (such as calcium imaging)
  • At least one peer-reviewed first author publication in one of the above research areas
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Basic knowledge of German desirable
