  • scientific service in research in the research project “Predatory publishing practices” (VW Foundation, https://hu.berlin/predatory-publishing)
  • research on problematic publication practices and evaluation systems in an international comparison
  • collection, evaluation and analysis of data using empirical social research methods (qualitative and quantitative)
  • cooperation in an international team

requirements:

  • completed university degree (master or similar) in social sciences
  • interest in questions of science studies or criminology
  • knowledge and experience in methods of empirical social research, especially interviews and surveys
  • knowledge in science studies (sociology of science, science and technology studies, etc.) or criminology of advantage
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English of advantage
  • ability to work interdisciplinary and in a team of advantage
  • willingness to travel of advantage
  • doctorate is desired, but not required
